The felt tops are felted by hand and then glued onto the base - and surprisingly sturdy. Sometimes you luck out and get a super curvy piece. One of the things that makes the papoose tree unique is that they all have this natural wood base. We have a lot of wooden trees and animal figures at home so the felt tops add a nice textural element to our playroom. We love that there are several seasons available so that we can swap out the trees as the seasons change. We have a couple sets at home that's permanently out on display. ![]() It is advised that they be surface cleaned rather than immersed completely in water. We love the papoose trees at home. NOTE: Stuffed toys will take a longer time to dry so make sure the items are fully dry before using them again. This will further felt the article and it will shrink and distort the item. DO NOT soak, machine wash or put anything in the drier. Do not agitate the article too much during washing as it will promote further felting. If the article is smaller and soiled gently hand wash it in lukewarm water using wool soap. If the article is large and flat it can be vacuumed. Dab liquid up with damp cloth, repeat with clean damp cloth, let article dry.įor dust and other dirt: Due to the scales of the wool structure dust is trapped in the outer layers of the wool and can therefore easily be cleaned. Papoose Felt is made from pure 100% wool and therefore cleaned similarly to wool.įor liquid spills: Wool is naturally water repellent and if spills are dealt with immediately the wool wont absorb much liquid.
